VALVE SPRINGS IN ALUMINIUM ALLOY. With reference to your memo E/Psn2/MN.4.11.36, we have been in touch with Messrs. High Duty Alloys Limited, and they are putting in hand a small quantity of wire .192" dia. in R.R.59 Low Silicon quality for the experimental valve springs in accordance with LeC.5363. It will take some little time to obtain the material in view of the fact that wire sizes are not commonly used and the material will have to be specially made, but we will get in touch with Messrs. High Duty Alloys Limited, in order to obtain delivery as speedily as possible. The material will be supplied in the solution treated condition and will only require ageing after the coiling operation. BY/EM | ||
