Dear Devereux,

Herewith are copies of letters I have written to Mr. Howlett with reference to the bearing situation which I discussed with you on the telephone.

I am sorry that you do not think you can get to Longchamp. In case you think better of it, we are leaving Heston Airport at 3.20. It should be quite easy to get back by Lunch time Sunday, if desired.
