Dear Robotham,

Thank you for yours of the 28th inst., enclosing copies of correspondence with Messrs. Wellworthy, but I think, wherever possible, in order to gain the right amount of experience, Wellworthy's should be manufacturing these bearings, although I appreciate that in the case of Leylands it may well be that delivery is so important that they could not wait.

On the other hand, you will appreciate that the change to AC.9. material has only been a last-minute change.

Wellworthy's have a good supply of the material, and I have Mr. Howlett's assurance that he is doing everything possible to keep each firm supplied.

I am sorry that I shall not be with you at Longchamps this week-end. I am sure it would have been most enjoyable, but I look forward to seeing you again in the near future.

Yours sincerely,

[SIGNATURE]

W. C. Devereux.
