COVENTRY.

Dear Sirs,

We wish, in one of our experimental engines incorporating pressed-in exhaust valve seats, to withdraw these seats without machining them out, and we have been given to understand that you publish some descriptive literature on withdrawing tools for carrying out this operation. If such is the case we should be much obliged if you would let us have a copy.

There is a possibility that the valve seat and block may have fused together to a certain extent, and we should appreciate your views on this. Seat material is Brichromium to Brico drg. VS.{J. Vickers}213, block cast iron and interference fit .0065" to .0075".

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
