To Mr. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} from Mr. BJ. Copy to.... Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} DJ3/H17.10.24. 40/50 H.P. and 20 H.P. Vibrations and Body Booming. EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}1/H16.10.24. I attach correspondence we have recently had with Barkers on this subject. You will see that we are doing everything we can to urge Barkers to build non-booming bodies. A few days ago there was a meeting with Barker's experts to discuss the whole question, at which we were represented by U., Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}, O.{Mr Oldham}, Sp.{Mr Spinney} and CWB. I understand that the Experimental Department are giving immediate and special attention to overcoming the points mentioned in HsB/L07.10.24 addressed to you, and it is realised how very important it is that we should immediately overcome any noises in the chassis which may cause customers to complain. Our reputation has been built up on silence, and we must retain it at all costs. BJ. [Handwritten note at top: X181] [Stamp: RECEIVED] | ||
