Dear Rothes, Shall be glad to see you on Friday the 28th. I do not quite agree with your views on the 4¼ litre Bentley requiring a larger section tyre, since the chassis weighs ½ cwt. less than the 3½ litre; furthermore, the steel body is also cutting our overall weight down by about ½ cwt. Since none of the transmission of the car has been altered, and the tyres presumably form a link of the transmission, I should be reluctant to put up the section if this can be avoided. However, we will discuss it when you come. By the way, a friend of mine, Mr. Leslie HawkAero Engineins, is trying to get a steel body for his 4¼ litre Bentley from Park Wards. I wonder whether you could find out for me before your visit whether they are able to give deliveries of these bodies, and whether the price is any different from that of the standard coachbuilt body.
