Claude Johnson Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd.,
Conduit Street, W.

Dear Mr. Johnson,

I am writing you to put the following proposition before you. In these times of economy I do not know whether it would interest you for the purpose of testing the cars up at Derby, to have some tyres at a larger discount than is given in the ordinary trade way.

We have got a good many of our old type in 895 x 135 and 895 x 150, white Grooved Covers and Steel-Studded, for disposal. These are all new goods, and have been manufactured up till within the last two or three months, and the reason that we wish to dispose of these is that we have changed our type and gone in for the black rubber, for which you kindly gave me an order the other day, and which you saw on my own car. They are not War disposal tyres, as we were out of business throughout the whole of the War, and apart from that, they all bear our full guarantee.

Handwritten note: WW What do you think?
