[Stamp: RECEIVED] [Stamp: ANSWERED 5 JUN 1923 F.{Mr Friese} S.] [Handwritten Initials: EW] [Handwritten: P/S] Th19/EGB155 June 4 1923 Re Mr. Royce's Goshawk. No 4 Replying to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}12/BM/2.5.23 the above car arrived in Paris yesterday but has met with an accident through being struck by another car. This will necessitate repairs to a rear wheel and the wing. We must examine the axle to make sure that it has not been damaged. We take it it will be best for the wing to be replaced when the car returns to England. As we are at present very short of drivers and as Mr Wallis is willing to drive the car to London next Thursday June 7th we shall be glad if you will let us know whether this will suit you so that we can make the necessary arrangements. Regarding the English Licence this is good until December 31st 1923. We await your decision by return. [Handwritten signature] [Handwritten Note at bottom: Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} agrees to 'Wa{Mr Wallis}' bringing it back to Derby] | ||
