Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 20th. October, in which we note with pleasure that you are replacing the faulty battery free of charge.

We agree that the cause of the failure was due to only one cell, in which the plates had buckled with a consequent shorting of the plates.

In order to prevent the new battery going astray, will you please arrange for it to be marked 'for the attention of R.M. Child, Experimental Laboratory'.

Thanking you for your prompt attention in this matter.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
