X6107 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.11/KT. January 11th 1933. Messrs Peto & Radford Ltd, Dagenham Dock, Romford, Essex. FOR the attention of Mr.Preston. Dear Sirs, We have now carried out a 20 hour rate discharge test on two Dagenite accumulators type 6.GLD11-SG{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} and 6.BGD9-SG{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}, as requested by you on the occasion of your recent visit to our works with Mr.Minchin. The results we obtained were as follows - (a) 6.GLD11-SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} With an average discharge of 3.04 amps. the time period was 18.86 hours. (b) 6.BGD9-SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} With an average discharge of 3.04 amps. the time period was 22.9 hours. It will thus be seen that the larger eleven plate battery has a larger capacity by approx. 15.3 ampere hours. It will be remembered that Mr.Minchin stated that he thought we should find very little difference between the two batteries when taken at their 20 hour rate, but we consider that the difference is quite appreciable, and we should be glad to have your remarks on the above figures. We should like to carry out high rate discharge tests on these batteries, and you promised cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} | ||
