S/W. (Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}) X9410 X9941 CWB/DB{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}42. 24-11-1924. Your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG22.11.24 received. I do not wish in any way to interfere with the test you are carrying out, but would propose to take the place of one of your drivers on one of the shifts for a couple of three days, so that the routine of test will go on uninterrupted, and merely one man will have a relief for these particular shifts. I am not yet certain what date will be most convenient, but will advise you in good time before I am starting. How far is Chateau Roux from Paris: is there time to get from Chateau Roux to Paris and back again in one of your 8-hour shifts? If so, do you see any objection to my being picked up in Paris at 8 o'clock some definite morning and starting straight away for Chateau Roux to hand over the Car for the ordinary afternoon driving shift, as this would be much more convenient than making the rail journey to Chateau Roux.
