We do not think it is necessary to harden the teeth of the sun wheel since it is so seldom used.

Summarising, the information we should like is:-

1. Is it always the worm wheel and shaft which has failed?
2. Has the large worm wheel shaft failed?
3. What will the large shaft stand under a static test (a) in C.N.N.S., (b) in a high grade steel? (if this has been used).
