Dear Sir,

With reference to our conversation of yesterday, we enclose herewith diagrams for the modification of the R.S.C. flywheel, and also the drawing which you sent.

We have now had an opportunity of examining this matter very closely, and are pleased to be able to state that the above-mentioned improvement should be a very practical demonstration of the vital importance of balancing. We would suggest that we should take out the whole of your present crankshaft and flywheel, and fit in their place a new set, which would be properly balanced, and at the same time we could see your way to a considerable increase of power, and as you would, of course, examine this arrangement, you would see how a great deal of the existing vibration would be removed.

However, you are not to begin the test until you have examined and found a test of this character to be satisfactory, that you would in all probability be prepared to extend the test.

We are putting the above modification before you before actually receiving a reply, but on receipt of this letter we will immediately forward the estimates and it is, of course, understood that our charge for same will be made.

Assuring you of our best services at all times, we remain,

Yours faithfully,
