[Handwritten: x8770] SECRET. To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from BJ. BJ14/H17.12.24. E.A.C. Two more points for consideration concerning the E.A.C. are:- (1) that the brakes have been squeaking for the last two days; (2) that the clutch seems to be more difficult to let in smoothly, especially in traffic, than the clutch on the standard 40/50 h.p. The E.A.C. clutch is inclined to jagger the car along if one starts in third gear. We do not think it is necessary to ask you to come to London to go into these points, but would ask you to look into them when the car is returned to Derby. To-day LHo. is trying the car, and to-morrow H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} is giving it a long run, and we expect it will return to Derby to-morrow (Thursday) night, or Friday morning. B.J.
