Dear Sirs,

With further reference to your letter of the 28th. ult., we are desirous of ordering one of your Model 45 portable D.C. Instruments, as specified on the sheet accompanying your letter. We should like you to inform us whether more than two ranges are included in one instrument or not, as we want to be able to measure the following.

(1) Volts from 0 to 1.5
(2) Volts from 0 to 15
(3) Amps from 0 to 1.5
(4) Amps from 0 to 15

If there are only two ranges included in the instrument itself we think it would be more satisfactory to have a milli-voltmeter which will presumably have the two ranges of volts specified above. We can then make suitable shunts for the two ranges of amperes required.

Yours faithfully,
