| (2) There is nothing really novel in the scheme, but I think it would make a satisfactory job if it were not for the two disadvantages mentioned, of which the length of engine appears to be most important and the most difficult to overcome. If you agree personally with my opinion on this matter, perhaps it will be unnecessary to bring the matter before Mr Royce, but I should like some confirmation before I write and tell Hacking we shall do nothing with the scheme. | ||
