In the linkage between a single control and two throttle valves is arranged a change over so that the same control member can operate to control either the petrol carburettor or the producer gas carburettor.

The engine is governed by a rotating permanent magnet and an armature balanced against a spring. When the rotation is excessive the armature is opened against the reaction of the spring to open ports in a servo device.
