-2- Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}4/M13.10.20. still be very doubtful from a point of view of quality, and that our scheme of designing parts, whilst being longer, would be in the long run better, and could be fitted later, and that the War Office by adopting such a policy would be making a very safe move. The Committee think that it is wise for me to come along to London tomorrow with Mr.Day, in order that we may possibly help to clear up the difficulties. In considering this memo, two important factors should be taken note of, - firstly the War Office are responsible for delays incurred with the modifications because a number of these modifications have been put before us after the contract had been arranged, and secondly - the Works were not asked if they could complete these modified chassis by November 21st., prior to the contract being arranged.
