This will require left hand steering. I have advised Mr. Olley that engine and gear box will be built left handed also, but direction of rotation will remain the same.

Mr. Day should be preparing drawings for the necessary modifications, and certain parts will require testing experimentally, such as pump and valve mechanism.

As it is intended that specimens of production will be made on both sides of the Atlantic and exchanged, it would appear that we shall have to have a set of patterns for chassis with left hand steering.

ENGINE. - To run in a clockwise direction same as at present.

CRANKCASE. x.3665. - Reverse position of camshafts, magneto, water, and oil pump drives, supports for carburettor, control etc.

CYLINDERS & VALVES. x.3667 x.3668 - Will swing round except for fan attachment and radiator support on front cylinders.

PISTONS. x.3666 - Probably oiled from connecting rod, cancelling extra oil pipes.

CRANKSHAFT AND CON. ROD. - No change.

CAMSHAFT AND ROCKERS. x.3669 Mr.Elliott's part { It may be found advisable to increase length of rocker arm to push roller further round cam, so as to decrease thrust on rocker. If so, to maintain valve lift exactly to present dimension, would require a higher cam. I prefer to use present standard.
