Re: Ballast resistances for 20 h.p. chassis.
RUGERONI.

During our Portuguese Retailer's interview with the Administration yesterday, he mentioned that he had discussed with you (Mr. Clarke) during his visit to Derby, the trouble he and his clients have experienced with 20 h.p. chassis through there being only one distributor for both coil and magneto ignition. Mr. Rugeroni stated that at the present you suggested his having reserve ballast resistances, and we have therefore ordered one dozen of these parts from N. which are being delivered to Mr. Rugeroni at the Carlton Hotel to-day.

Their value is 6/9d. each retail. We should like to hear from you whether you consider any charge should be made to Mr. Rugeroni for these parts, which he intends using on the six 20 h.p. chassis in Portugal, all of which apparently suffer from the same trouble. We understand that C. is writing to you on the general question, and in this present memo we wish to confine ourselves to the question of charge, or no charge, for these dozen ballast resistances.
