X1029 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}19/KW. 24th August, 1936. Messrs. New-Hudson Ltd., Icknield Street, Birmingham 18. For the attention of Mr. Fraser. Dear Sirs, Further to our letter Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}20/KW. of the 20th August, we suggest that Thursday 27th August at 11 a.m. would be a suitable time and date for your visit, if this is convenient to you. We hope by then to have tried the car on the road and to have obtained our first impressions of the brake system. The fitment of the axles has been a long job due to various fouls on the front axle and lack of oil drains on the rear axle. Incidentally the idler lever on the rear axle is out of alignment and the brake rope pulls on it obliquely. Will you please confirm this date. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
