Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}15/NJ3321. Dear Sirs, X.681-Bleriot Dynamo. X.1402. With further reference to ours of the 5th inst., we should like to draw your attention to a point in connection with our dynamo equipment. We quite agree that the use of a vibrator regulator introduces a certain amount of additional complication when compared with a simple reverse series or similarly controlled machine. In the case of our equipment however, the vibrator is only in operation either when the battery is practically fully charged, or the lamps are used without an accumulator in circuit. The vibrator therefore only functions occasionally and this arrangement entirely overcomes the objection to this class of apparatus on automobiles. We think you will agree that the fact of it being impossible to overcharge the battery is a feature of considerable value, and this, together with the fact that one can light the lamps direct from the dynamo is, we fell, ample justification for introducing the vibrator regulator. We hope you will reconsider your decision regarding the use of our equipment, in the light of the above explanation. It occurs to us that our description was not quite so clear as it might have been, and therefore the point | ||
