Messrs.Rolls-Royce, Ltd., D e r b y. 22nd May, 1930. Dear Sirs, We beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter, reference "EFC1/AD," of the 21st instant, and in reply to the specific points - a) You are correct that we have purposely omitted the 'E' in the type nomenclature. c) It is correct that the last paragraph of section read-ing from "Such a discharge" to "are left on" should have been omitted. g) As you point out, we intended that the item under 16 of your notes should be covered by our new paragraph (then numbered 15). With reference to the suggestion regarding the import-ance of keeping the plates well covered with electro-lyte, this we suggest is sufficiently covered in the paragraph previously numbered 10. We have, however, modified the paragraph regarding overdischarge. h) We agree with you that the paragraph previously 20 can be modified with advantage, and we have transferred that portion re resistance to the earlier paragraph. The biggest modification is that in the last paragraph (No.27) of the present instruction book, and it seems to us that it is perhaps somewhat out of place there | ||
