| -4- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GNH.1/KW.29.1.34 Page 83. Delete the paragraph commencing "The nut should be screwed etc." up to "It must again be emphasised". " 87. Clutch adjustment. First cars cannot be adjusted as stated. Later cars, probably after first 400 will have an outside adjustment. " 91. Universal Joint. The whole of this should be deleted. The joints are to be filled with grease and attention should be a general overhaul job. " 94. Steering Arms and Joints. This should be a Depot job and recommended when car goes in for decarbonising. " 96. Hydraulic Dampers. Item 2. Question of oil to be settled. " 99. Delete paragraph "Therefore every 2000 miles etc." and in its place state 5000 miles. " 104. Radiator Shutters. Delete "It commences to open the shutters etc." The sentence should read "It is arranged to keep an average water temperature of approx. 85°C." " 106. Water Level in Radiator. Delete "The water should be changed every 5000 miles etc." " 107. Note. The resulting mixture has a freezing point of about 5°F.{Mr Friese} or 15°C. " 110. Dynamo. Delete last paragraph "The bearings require little attention, etc." We do not advocate a customer messing about with the dynamo bearings. This should be a Depot job. " 111. Last paragraph. The sentence to read - "Every 10,000 miles as directed etc. This will expose the commutator and brushes which should be inspected. If any dust is noticeable remove with a brush". " 112. Top paragraph to be deleted and start with "Cleanliness of the Commutator, etc." | ||
