-3- Page 41. Drip Plugs. Delete the whole of the explanations from the first paragraph ending with "indicating a greater rate" up to "if one is suspected of being defective, etc." * 42. Front Axle system. Delete this altogether. * 43. Continued from 42 up to "For convenience these are located, etc." Delete paragraph - "Owing to the construction of the ball joints, etc." and in its place - "The ball joints of the shock damper connections are lubricated as indicated in the diagram". Use of Foot Operated Oil Pump. Delete the whole of the paragraph after the first sentence. * 45. Description of Engine. Delete sentence "and held to crankcase by long through studs. These project beyond the block and also secure...." replaced by "The cylinder barrels etc. are amply water-jacketted. A one-piece head which carries two valves per cylinder. In combination etc." * 53. Oil Level Indicator. Delete sentence after "in fractions of a gallon". In its place it should read "The reading of the indicator should be taken as near as possible with the car standing on level surface. The amount of oil should be maintained, etc." Oil Pressure. Delete "To about 15 to 20 lbs." * 60.) Replacing Cylinder Head. * 61.) The joint washer could be used twice. * 68. Filter. It should be cleaned every 5000 miles (not 1000). Fuel Tank with reserve supply. Should read - "A reserve supply of approximately two gallons". * 75. Float Feed Mechanism. Delete the paragraph "Every 5000 miles etc." Also "Further dismantling of Carburetter". | ||
