Re 3-AX-35 - Lord Provost of Glasgow.

With reference to C2/C13.3.41, we note what you say about the clutch lining being changed on this car at 9700 miles.

With the original clutch centre it was possible for a bad driver to give the whole of the transmission terrible punishment, and we still feel that this was the major cause of the trouble.

With thermoid linings, willful abuse is necessary to damage anything.

Clearly, without a knowledge of the man who drives the car, it is most difficult to formulate any reliable opinion as to exactly how the trouble occurred.
