X. 8830. To HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} c. to C. S E C R E T. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/M22.9.24. E.A.C.11. RE. BODIES. X. 8830. The first of these bodies will be ready for mounting about Monday next and we have wired you enquiring if the mock up will be available then. As no doubt you have already been informed, three of the first design of Sports Body - N.sch.1826 - have been ordered, and it is proposed to order three of the second type - N.sch.1829 also from Barkers. We are informed that you will have a complete chassis ready in about 3 weeks time, and we assume that this is extra to the mock up. We agree that we also require a closed body, or bodies. At the moment we do not know how to buy them. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} will however make a design of either a saloon or cabriolet on a long chassis, and discuss with R.{Sir Henry Royce} the ways and means of obtaining it. Would you please tell us whether you have any particular preference for any type of body? DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
