Re Westinghouse Engine Starter. X.1086

R.{Sir Henry Royce} 4-2-14.

One of the above has been fitted to chassis 2432 - Vanderbilt - and we are endeavouring to obtain the owner's opinion of the starter and approximately how long it has been fitted to the car.

Mr Oldham tells us that he had a short run on the car, the starter is rather noisy in working and would not start cold engine on magneto but did so on battery, the machine easily started the engine off magneto when warm.

The special batteries for the starting dynamo were he believes not in first class condition when he was on the car.

We are sending to you under separate cover 3 photographs showing the starter in position and fitted to our chassis.
