PRODUCTION PARTS.

The majority of our standard car parts are stamped or etched with their part numbers of six figures.
With a view to saving cost I think we might generally discontinue this practice, but perhaps make an exception for those pieces which are more often replaced in the course of service.
The customer can always refer to the "Catalogue of Parts" for the piece numbers when necessary, as he has to do with any other make of car - i.e. marking is not done by any other maker we believe.
This is Mr. Jenner's suggestion, who also suggests that we do not put the nought and double nought on drawings, as it costs money and takes room, and we think if they are deleted the risk of mistakes is not great. Example: dimension 1.500 would read 1.5.
