EFC.from Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} X.4622 Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}absent. Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}/1/JW.10.2.27. Elliott Ammeter No.140999. The remarks in yours EFC1/T5.2.27 were duly communicated to Elliott Bros.(London)Ltd. and we are this morning in receipt of their reply dated 9th inst. as follows:- "We are in receipt of your letter relating to "Miniature Ammeter No.140999 and hasten to inform you "that it was never intended to make any charge in "connection with this matter. "Your reason for filing the sealing cup is quite "feasible and we feel sure that this is only done when "absolutely necessary. "It was quite likely, as you suggest, that a small "piece of floating foreign matter may be the cause of "the trouble; however, as previously pointed out, the "instrument now appears to be quite satisfactory, but "we do not propose to return same until after "Mr. Whitehead's visit, so that he can examine it here, "and, if necessary, check it against our standards." | ||
