X4622 DEPT. c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. EFC. c. EJ. BY3/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 8.8.27. RECEIVED 8 AUG 1927 WESTON AND ELLIOTT AMMETERS. Referring to moyl3/AG.7.2.27. & detached papers, the position originally outlined was that we should carry on for a reasonable length of time using 50-50 of the above ammeters, with the object of ascertaining whether, under service conditions, the Elliott ammeter was as reliable as the Weston. We have hardly delivered any Elliott ammeters at all to customers, and it is too early for us to attempt to make any pronouncement upon the subject. I have discussed this matter with Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and EFC. and the foregoing represents our joint ruling on the subject. The matter will be raised by the Experimental Dept. later on if and when we have sufficient experience to profitably discuss the matter. At present we certainly have not. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
