PERIODICAL ADJUSTMENTS ON RATIONALISED CARS.

There are a certain number of adjustments which are necessary at stated intervals if any car is to continue to give satisfaction in the hands of the Owner.

A particularly good example of this is the replacement of the dynamo brushes. On 11.B.V. the dynamo ceased to charge after 15,000 miles. It is quite certain that this will always happen at about this mileage if the dynamo brushes are not renewed.

There are a number of other points as follows :-

Distributor adjustments.
Brake adjustment.
Checking over tappets.
Tightening fan belt, etc.

We should like to know what adjustments you consider necessary every 10,000 miles or 12 months which ever is the shorter period, and make a point of getting every customer to let one of the firms representatives to go over his car at these periods.

We consider these minor adjustments more important than things like decarbonising, because carbon on the cylinder head is hardly likely to let the customer down, whereas the dynamo not charging may be disastrous.

Will you please collect a list of parts which require this periodical attention and let me have it.
