E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Dr. RHO: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} E/HDY.{William Hardy}8/HP.12.2.36. Rear Brakes - Phantom III. Will you kindly instruct that the brake ropes between the equaliser and the brake drums for the foot brake should be turned end for end so that at the equaliser ends there will be plain forks without adjustment. This will now be as originally shown on N.Sch.4543. We understand that the adjustments were placed in the centre of the car for accessibility, but it is now found undesirable to have so great a length of inflexible connection adjacent to this particular equaliser which rocks in the vertical plane.
