40/50.HP. FRONT AXLE. - HE R'S TELEPHONE CONVERSATION WITH HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}

We are only ordering old type axles in such quantities as will keep us going. It is necessary to order one hundred sets of material for front axles now, but whilst we are ordering 200 sets of material generally for the next Series, we are only ordering one hundred sets of front axles, and will make a decision in regard to the further 100 sets only when absolutely necessary. This will mean we have a further eight to ten weeks in which to try and bring in the new axle for the second half of C.2. Series.
