Sidgreaves - MD}19/E16.2.31 Arising out of your Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/MJ/7.1.31 I wrote fully to Mr.Beaver on this subject and suggested that they should send some one over to study P.II cars from the point of view in question and some one who could pass on the necessary information to the heads of their Service Depots. I enclose copy of the reply which I have received on the subject. Under the circumstances it does not seem much use pursuing the matter further, but I believe you mentioned in conversation an actual instance of their not [typed over with XXXX: knowing] how to deal with certain points on customers' cars in America because of this lack of experience, and if you still feel that the matter is of greater importance than Mr.Beaver seems to think, please let me [typed over with XXXX: have] any data of assistance in writing to him again on this subject.
