X.4383 - GOSHAWKAero EngineCodename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after KestrelAero Engine DYNAMOS.

We are sending to Mr. Brock dynamo G, the one which we let EP. {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} have in place of a noisy machine No.625, which he has let us have.

This G dynamo, though marked with an experimental letter has had no experimental work done upon it and has only run a comparatively short distance on 5GII., but EP {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} complains that it is not up to date as regards terminals, and coil leads to brush holder. Further, we know it is not up to date as regards the main brush position.

Perhaps you would instruct for this dynamo to be brought up to date and passed back to EP. {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}

If thought more satisfactory for the purpose of reference, the designations of these machines, viz. G and 625, could be interchanged, i.e. the one now sent to Mr. Brock could in future be called No.625 and we could arrange to call the No.625 machine we have at present, dynamo G. {Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp}
