TEST OF ALUMINIUM ALLOYS.

It is desired to carry out tests of an alloy of the following composition:which has been proposed by the R.A.F.:-

Copper 7%
Zinc 1%
Tin 1%
Aluminium 91%

The tests should comprise the same tests aswe instructed for the previous range of alloys under EFC4/T9.5.17 viz.-

(a) Stanton impact test (3 test pieces)
(b) Upton Lewis Fatigue test (3test pieces)
(c/d)Tensile tests at atmospheric temperature and higher temperatures up to 400°C. (6test pieces)
(E) Specific Gravity & Brinell hardness tests.
(F) Chemical Analyses.

Will those concerned kindly note and endeavour to put these tests through with the least possible delay.
