Attached is a detailed report given by Messrs. Negretti & Zambra on the Water temperature Thermometer, Mercury filled, they submitted, at a cost of some £7. 0. 0 - which is a little more than double what we pay to-day for the Cambridge Ether filled instrument - which may be of interest.

You will note the extreme accuracy of the readings they obtain from this instrument.

Negretti & Zambra are making another instrument, Ether filled, for us, but it will be some little time before this comes to hand.

ENCLOSURE. Report.

The instrument is still in my room.
