Mr Royce

Breakages. - Re rear spring link from Chassis 1711 (Mortimer-Singer)

TBB2/L31812.

31.8.12.

I regret to advise you that another rear spring link from Mortimer-Singers chassis has cracked in exactly the same manner as the previous failure. This bush is a fibre one and was not changed at the date of the previous failure owing to the fact that the other link was changed at the Paris depot and when we were advised it was too late to get hold of the car.

I have written to Mr Johnson concerning your instructions that men should be sent out to correct all fibre bushes at present on the road. This work will be put in hand as soon as possible.
