Replying to HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}1/VS.{J. Vickers}9.5.38., the memo to which I was referring was HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/LK.{L. King}1/VS{J. Vickers}30.4.38. which was originally addressed to By, By/NS{Norman Scott} and yourself. It is very difficult for By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} to make a correct decision on points raised such as these unless he has the full story. For instance, the first item was due to a new type oil being tested.
