Sidgreaves - MD} WOR. {Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} BA. SHOCK DAMPERS. We send herewith N. sch. 3660. which shews a square shaft fixing for the inner lever. The broached hole provides relief for two of the surfaces in such a way that the bottom corner will always be in contact. This scheme can be tried in an existing damper body by means of a thick bush for the inner bearing and a packing plate under the cover.
