Sidgreaves - MD}23/E2.1.34 [Handwritten text at top] 1369 GRX See me Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Referring to the question of cycle type wings which appear to be wanted by one or two people like Fedden and probably Fairey, who, I understand from Lp.{Mr Lappin}, has fallen in love with the 100 m.p.h. speed model, I said to Lp{Mr Lappin} that, as it means special pivots and as the fracture of one of these pixots [text struck through] wings would perhaps involve a very serious accident, I feel diffident about giving authority [text struck through] for them to be fitted unless they have been submitted to a 10,000 mile test.
