1370 January 6th.1938 Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Gry. {Shadwell Grylls} 1/AP. Messrs. Dunlop Rim & Wheel Co., Foleshill, COVENTRY. For the attention of Mr.Sharp. Dear Sirs, Since writing you on December 31st., some 16" Bentley wheels have arrived in the Works in which you have altered the spoking and thereby arranged the usual balance weight fixing. This obviously suits us better than our other arrangement and we will alter our drawings accordingly. As to steel disc wheels, we send you herewith prints showing arrangement and details of a wheel we can try on the existing Bentley chassis. Will you please let us have your views on these drawings and the cost of supplying 4 such wheels. We shall make the hubs, but ask you to broach the rear ones. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
