X1280 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Std.12/KW. 2nd December, 1935. Messrs. John Marston Ltd., Paul Street Works, Wolverhampton. For the attention of Mr. Southall. Dear Sirs, We should very much like to know whether you have attained the degree of efficiency of the Harrison matrix with your Mark VI type matrix. You were arranging to carry out experiments to do this when we discussed the matter at Wolverhampton. We should also like to know whether you have any comparative figures between the Gallay type of matrix (as used on latest Ford and Morris cars) and your Mark VI matrix. The Gallay people are claiming that their type of block is superior to any type of film block both from cooling/unit weight and cooling/unit volume points of view. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
