Wraith II - Rear Axle Banjo and Tubes.
Spring Anchorages, Hubs and Axle Shafts.

We send herewith N.Sch.4826 which shows the above.

The banjo axle is a Scott forging as manufactured by Messrs. Rubery Owen.

The banjo is inclined at 50° with the vertical to reduce the height as is done on the 120 Packard.

The wheel track is shown at 59" as determined by coachwork requirements.

Nickel steel extensions are pressed into the axle tubes and secured by the same pins that hold the spring anchorage.

The oil seals for the axle tubes are placed in the hubs as they cannot conveniently be placed near the centre casing.

The axle shafts are located endwise in the hubs and are removable after the internal nut and end plate have been removed.

N.Sch.4826.
herewith.
