1141 SECRET. HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}7/R.1.12.38. Supercharger fitted to Bentley Rig Engine. By/Ald{F. Allwood - Experimental Design}13/G.9.11.38. In order to counteract Lagonda publicity, it is suggested that we should run a 24 hour test at Montlhery with an 'M' Series Bentley, the object being to cover this run @ 100 M.P.H. We are anxious to run a facing forward air intake on this car to give the engine the easiest possible time, and in order to make tests on this feature we should like to get our supercharger running on a rig so that we can direct high velocity over the intake on the Test Bed. Would you, therefore, urge these bits for us. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
