γ 600a - To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} c. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}4/MH.{M. Huckerby}8.9.38. - for Sales. 26.G.VI (No.7 UNIT). Prior to the above car going to Sales we had trouble with overoiling after periods of idling. In order to cure this, which was partly due to faulty scraper rings and partly to oil getting down the inlet valve stems, the following has been carried on this unit:- (1) Original cylinder block and pistons refitted. (2) Top washers to ECD.846 fitted. Will you please produce another two sets of these top washers. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} | ||
