E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} A.{Mr Adams} C. 1. X9310 X9940 We have gone into the question of fitting the present braking system to this chassis, including the servo, but it does not come in very well, though of course it could be rigged up in a temporary fashion. We have not yet the opportunity of discussing it with Mr. Royce, but when we do we think he will be in favour of scrapping the 3 speed gearbox, and waiting for the new unit four speed gearbox. Presumably this would cause some delay? If so, and you want the chassis running on the road soon, we believe the best way would be for you to temporarily fix up the servo and operating gear yourselves, without waiting for us.
