To EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/Thn. from EFC. X.800 EFC2/T14.3.23. X.800 - 40/50 DISTRIBUTOR. Answering your EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/Thn6/H13.3.23, there has been no change in the dimensions of contact breaker platinum tip blade and we do not know of any reason why the post-war blade should be stronger than the pre-war. The wear complained of does not seem to be a general complaint and makes, we suggest, very little difference to the satisfactory operation. In any case, it is intended shortly on new cars to overcome the small defects which exist in this design by the standardisation of the Goshawk type ignition equipment. EFC. | ||
