Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X7410 BY4/G.16.5.28. PHANTOM. REPLACING SERRATED ROLLER BY A SERRATED SLIDING BLOCK AS SHOWN ON SCHEME 2598. It is most important that I should point out that we cannot make sudden changes of springs without involving ourselves in a considerable amount of scrap. We always have to carry a stock of springs over a fairly wide range, and whilst we are trying to reduce the necessary stock to a minimum there is always a period of overlapping, as the type of spring being replaced cannot stop with a series. This means that the standardisation of a point of this kind must be somewhat elastic as far as the point in which the change is brought in is concerned. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} By | ||
